Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you use openstrate.pro and the OpenStrate Recon service, why, and your choices. We sell scan-to-BIM and related services to the architecture, engineering and construction industry.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us. When you book a demo we collect your name, email, company, area of interest and message. This is delivered to us through the form provider FormSubmit.
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 / Firebase Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location (city/region), device and browser, referring source, and interactions such as opening the demo or sending a question to the building agent. This uses cookies and similar identifiers.
- Account information. If you sign in to the workspace, we use Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication and receive your name, email and a user ID.
- Models and content you upload. IFC files and the models you create are stored for your account on Google Cloud Storage and processed to generate BIM, floor plans, a 3D viewer and derivatives.
- Building-agent queries. Questions you ask the building agent are processed with Google Vertex AI (Gemini) to generate answers about your model and the building code.
How we use it
- Respond to your enquiries and provide the demo and services.
- Operate, secure and improve the website, workspace and building agent.
- Understand aggregate usage and traffic so we can improve the product.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that run the service on our behalf — Google Cloud Platform and Firebase (hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, Vertex AI) and FormSubmit (demo form) — and where required by law.
Retention & security
We keep contact and account data for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or anonymize it. Uploaded models are retained for your account until you or we delete them. We use reputable cloud infrastructure with access controls, but no system is perfectly secure.
Your choices & rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of analytics using your browser settings or a Google Analytics opt-out. Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and BC PIPA) you have rights over your personal information. To exercise any of these, email us.
International processing
Our providers may process data in Canada, the United States and other regions. By using the service you consent to this processing.
Children
The service is for business use and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
